Exact Metrology Celebrates Opening of New Location

Exact Metrology recently celebrated the opening of their newest location in Moline, Illinois with a ribbon cutting ceremony. On September 29, 2020, members of the Quad Cities Chamber joined Exact Metrology for the ceremony to officially welcome the company at their new location. The Quad Cities Chamber is a diverse group of influential business leaders in Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa that work to advance local businesses through advocacy, business connections, financial assistance, business intelligence, promotions, regional marketing, placemaking and leadership development. Exact Metrology Performs Bulk Plastic Cap Inspection

Exact Metrology performed a recent inspection on molded caps to showcase the power and capability of multi-part inspections at its Brookfield, Wisconsin office. Computed tomography (CT) scanning is an x-ray methodology yielding 3D results by placing an object on a rotational stage between an x-ray tube and an x-ray detector, rotating the object 360 degrees and capturing images at specific intervals. Furthermore, CT scanners can easily scan multiple parts at the same time. To render the 3D x-ray model of the object or part, the series of images is reconstructed. Exact Metrology Scanned “Liberty of Poetry”

From October 11, 2019 to April 26, 2020, the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration in New York exhibited “Sisters in Liberty: From Florence, Italy to New York, New York.” The exhibit was a collaboration between Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and the Opera di Santa Croce, a nonprofit organization in charge of the Franciscan Cathedral Santa Croce. Through art and multimedia presentations, the exhibit looked to start an international conversation about the meaning of liberty and how the concept had evolved. Exact Metrology Showcases Potential of Reverse Engineering

Greenery 33 is a company in Cincinnati, Ohio that produces creative and unique plant holders and pots.  The company donates 33% of their earnings to environmental protection agencies. One of Exact’s engineers is friendly with Greenery 33’s owner, so Exact Metrology participated in a marketing campaign aimed to show the process of reverse engineering and how it can used with various materials.
